Day Two with Eliza

Yesterday went very smoothly.   Eliza ate about an hour after birth and then proceeded to sleep the rest of the day - until about 10 oclock when she decided she was ready to be awake and play with us!

MCG has done some renovations and do not have a nursery anymore.  This was quite nice as Eliza got to spend the night with us.  They've only taken her from us once and that was to bathe her about midnight last night.

Looks like she's got her mom and dad's features - long and skinny!  And she takes after her mother in that she is so cute!

April is doing quite well.  Just a little bit of nausea right after the birth.  She slept on and off throughout the day and is in great spirits.  My wife is such a trooper!

Cade and Ali absolutely love their new sister.  Ali and April keep having arguments on who the mommy is!  I think Ali has only let other people hold "her baby" for a total of 5 minutes while she was around.  She's so cute!

Thank you guys so much for your love and support.  We feel so blessed to have such great family and friends.  We'll be here till Wednesday or Thursday.  April LOVES visitors so please feel free to come by.  Just give April or myself a call and we'll let you know if its a good time to stop by and will give you room number and all that fun stuff.

New Addition

Getting Ready!
Here She Is!
Pretty!
Worth The Hard Work

We were convinced she was going to be a boy - so we didn't really think much on girl names.... we're still trying to figure that part out!  We're down to
1) Anastasia
2) Eliza
3) Olivia

Momma is holding her right now trying to figure out what we should name her!

UPDATE:  Eliza Lynnlee Mitchell wins! (Daddy got overridden for Anastasia!  Oh well! :-))

2 Weeks To Go!

As of tomorrow, I only have 2 more weeks until I go in to have the baby!  This week was a lot of fun with 2 baby showers to go to.  Instead of having a picture of just my big belly, here's 4 of us who are all due pretty close together.  I'm sure I'm the biggest...

Me (going in March 22), Cari (due March 23), Jessica (goes in March 29?) and Kendra (due April 14... I think).

Also, on another topic - for those of you who were afraid to come over and eat with us because of our dangerous chairs, we now have a completely new and (as far as we can tell so far) safe set.  Thanks to tax "refund" money (if you can call it that), we were able to buy this lovely set.

I really love them.  I never thought I'd want green chairs, but it goes in our kitchen perfectly.  The wood on the seat is actually the same color as our table, so it's even better.  For those of you who didn't get to experience sitting in and "breaking" one of our chairs, here's what happened pretty much any time anyone would sit on them:

I do have to say, it's sad to see these go.  They've been around for as long as I can remember.  My grandma used to have them in her house and I think they're older than I am.  They've been through a lot and have fought a good fight.  But, really, how many times can you use Gorilla Glue and staples to hold them together?
